One Fellow Mvp Posted the following behavior in IE and a whole lot of email follows up.
This is quiet interesting….
1) Create a folder on the desktop and name it as “Notepad”
2) Open a webpage (any) in IE and see its view source.

Here is the remedy to fix the thing up:-
Remember modifying the registry is not a recommended way to fix issue but if you still need it take a backup of the registry before modifying it.
For Me Why should i create a “Notepad” folder in Desktop I don’t need at all and not interested but if you are looking for the solution have a try on the following suggestion (Note i didn’t tried it yet..so don’t blame me if its not working ):-

Go to Registry, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\
Create a new key “View Source Editor”
Right Click on the “View Source Editor” key just created and add a “New” Key “Editor Name” under it.
Select the “Editor Name” and Right Click on the “default” property that comes in the Details Window
Select “Modify”
Enter “C:\WINDOWS\NOTEPAD.EXE” in the Value data Textbox and Click Ok.
Now, you can create a folder named Notepad and still view source for any web page.
